Clowning Workshop
September 4 and 5
2:30 - 3:15 pm

Learn the hilarious and timeless techniques of clowning in a unique children's workshop with European-trained actor, singer and professional clown Gale McNeeley. You'll explore European red-nosed clowning and take home your own red nose!

Included with Museum Admission.

Gale McNeeley has 40 years of professional experience in physical theatre traditions including mime, clowning and Commedia Dell'Arte. He has studied, taught, directed and lectured around the United States and Europe.


Clay Techniques
Sunday, September 19
1:00 - 4:00 pm

Potter Junji Miyazawa will teach you techniques for creating with clay such as making pinch pots and slab building using locally-gathered clay. You can also see Junji create pottery on his handmade potter's wheel.


Schmutz Company Papermation Workshop
Workshop: Saturday, September 25; 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Screening: Sunday, September 26; 1:00 pm

Work one-on-one with The Schmutz Companyh artists Dave English and Don Orkoskey to create an animated short film using paper and stop-motion techniques. Then enjoy seeing your animation on the big screen at the Sunday screening!
