Admissions Associates, Store Associates, Birthday Party Hosts,
Museum Educators, Café Servers and Cooks

Come to the museum to hone your skills, create, play, discover, learn and grow with visitors. Part-time positions only.

Staff responsible for greeting visitors, sharing information, running special programs and ensuring a positive, worthwhile experience for visitors while at the Museum.

May require some evening and weekend hours, depending upon program schedules and community events.

For Admission and Store Associate and Cafe Server positions, retail and/or cash register experience is preferred.

All positions require Act 33 and 34 Clearances, a high school diploma or equivalent and applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Additionally, at least moderate personal or working experience with children is required.


Cleaner - part-time

Cleaners are primarily responsible for cleaning the Children's Museum, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping using industrial vacuum cleaners, emptying trash and cleaning restrooms. Sometimes uses ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures. Part-time positions for flexible morning, evening and/or weekend hours. Act 33 and 34 Clearances required. Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to perform heavy work. At least moderate cleaning experience preferred.


Event Prep Staff

Part-time, casual hours to set up and tear down for Children's Museum events. Must be able to work flexible hours and lift up to 40 lbs.


Internships

Children's Museum provides a variety of unpaid internships throughout the year for academic credit and practical experience for students in the fields of education, marketing, communications, business and management. Hours are flexible and vary depending on the department's needs.
