MISCELLANEOUS

What is the difference between a private room and the public space?

The private rooms are located in the lower level of our post office building and are enclosed rooms. The public space is located outside of the entrance to the theatre. While the space is defined with tables, chairs and pillars, it does not have walls or a door. Photos of these spaces are available on the website.

Is there a charge for parking?

Yes, parking is $5 for non-members and $3 for members. The host family is permitted to park in a museum lot at no charge. Additional adults attending the party can either pay for parking on their own, or it can be paid for by the host. Please let us know during the reservation process if you would like to cover your guests' parking.

How early can I arrive for my party?

Hosts may arrive one half hour prior to the start of your party to see the room and unload any presents or decorations.

When our party ends, do we need to leave the museum?

Absolutely not! After the two hour party, all guests must leave the party rooms to allow for preparations for the next party. However, all guests are welcome to enjoy the museum until it closes at 5pm.

One of my adult guests is a member of the museum. Can they use their membership to attend the party?

Yes. For Package A and B parties, five adults are admitted to the party free. If additional adults attend, there is an additional charge of $6 per adult. However, if the additional adults are current members and check in at the front desk seperately from the birthday party, they will be able to utilize their member benefits.

Can we use gift cards purchased at Giant Eagle to pay for a birthday party?

Gift cards purchased at Giant Eagle are valid for admissions, parking, classes and membership, but not birthdays. The museum sells gift cards at the admissions desk, over the phone or on this website that are valid for birthday parties.
